Moving Forward With My New Skills
Last time I posted, I mentioned how I had passed my class with a 97% in AutoCAD and an 87% in Interior Design. SO happy I did really well in both of those classes! And it was just in time since I ended up losing my job right after the start of the new year.
So that gave me the kick in the butt to get moving on a new career. With the help of ChatGPT, I was able to work on and put together a CAD Drafting Support Portolio with two floorplans from my textbook and two mechanical drawings from last semester. I even included three images I took one day with a color pencil filter added to them to use on my cover page, objective page, and skills page. I’m really glad that day was really clear out so I could see the mountains in the distance and get some good pictures!
My favorite of the images I used with the color pencil filter applied.
I’m really happy with where I am with my CAD skills. I was able to remember how to do my work rather quickly, especially since I needed a new loaner laptop so I could run AutoCAD again. I was so excited to get the chance to make floorplans for the first time that I called one of my brothers and showed him my work like an excited little kid. lol
I’m just excited I took the initiative to make this portfolio. I put a lot of work into it and it’s finally ready to be shown to the world. I made sure to link it on my LinkedIn profile as well as add it to my work area on the site.
So without further delay, here’s my new CAD Drafting Support portfolio:
